My Browser Crashed, But Firefox Saved Me!
My Browser Crashed, But Firefox Saved Me!Filed in archive General by Justin McHenry on August 02, 2007
This is off-topic, but I gotta tell you. I often surf with multiple browser windows open and I'm not a guy who often remembers to save his work. Well, just as I was writing the previous post here, with three Firefox browser windows open and half the post written, I got the dreaded pop-up window that tells you there's been an error and that your browser windows will close and you should prepare to cry. After slapping my head with my hand and cussing at the computer (I never say "cussing," but I would like to work it into my vocabulary), I sighed and went to open the browser back up and start all over again.Guess what? Firefox had saved my session! A new window popped up asking me if I wanted to return to the session. I said yes, and immediately all three browser windows bounced back on screen, with my half-written blog post still in one of the windows! Ha! That's awesome! I've never seen that before. I recently upgraded my Firefox browser, and I know it didn't used to do that.I'm not generally one to hawk products, but since this one's free, why not? If you're not using the latest edition of Firefox as your Web browser, I'd suggest hopping over there and downloading it.
